Sri Parthasarathy Temple
One of the oldest surviving temples in the city, the Sri Parthasarathy Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It was built by the eighth century and renovated by the Vijayanagar rulers in sixteenth century.
San Thome Cathedral
Neo - Gothic style cathedral was originally built in the thirteenth century in honour of the apostle of St. Thomas. It was rebuilt in 1896.
The second longest beach in the World, the best time to visit early morning or evening when the temperature are cooler and the sun displays colours in the water. Also on the promenade are memorials to former Chief Ministers of the State - Annadurai and M G Ramachandran
Fort St. George
Fort st. George is a splendid example of military architecture. Built in the seventeenth century by the British East India Company, Fort St. George was thr first fort to be built by the British in India. It remained an important seat of power until Independence. Glimpses of early Chennai are preserved in Clive Corner, Wellesley House, Fort Museum and St. Mary's Church
